Pricing questions

Payments, invoices, VAT and plans

  • How does billing work?

    Prices are per user, excluding VAT, billed monthly or yearly: a year costs 10 months, so you get 2 months free. You choose the billing interval at checkout and can switch later from the console or the Stripe customer portal. Minutes beyond the allowance are pay-as-you-go, billed monthly, within the spending cap you choose.

    You pick a plan on the Pricing page, create your account or sign in, and pay online: the plan is active as soon as the payment goes through.

  • Which payment methods do you accept?

    Card, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay, through Stripe Checkout. Payments are handled by Stripe: CodeQuay never sees or stores your card details.

    Business and annual customers can pay by invoice with a bank transfer to our Italian IBAN: the invoice shows the IBAN and the payment reference to use. Get in touch and we'll set it up.

  • Where do I find my invoices?

    In the console, under Settings → Plan and payments: every Stripe invoice is listed there and can be downloaded as a PDF. Italian electronic invoicing through SDI is coming soon.

  • Do prices include VAT?

    No, prices are in euros and exclude VAT. VAT is added where due: enter your VAT number at checkout and it's applied as required by law; for example, the reverse charge applies to companies in another EU country with a valid VAT number.

  • How are users counted?

    You're billed per member of the space. When you add or remove members, the change is prorated: you pay only for the days each seat is actually in use.

  • Can I change plan or number of users?

    Yes, whenever you like, from the console: upgrading takes effect immediately, and seats follow the members you add or remove. Your repositories, history and settings stay right where they are.

  • How do I cancel?

    From Settings → Plan and payments → Manage payment and invoices. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for; after that the space goes back to the Free plan, with your repositories intact.

  • Can I try CodeQuay before deciding?
